This course will introduce students to some of the most commonly seen types of questions found in the USACO Bronze level. We will start out with an introduction to some important data structures that will be utilized throughout the course, before moving onto techniques for solving the main types of problems that may appear. We will be using the Java coding language in this course.

In this computer science class, you will learn techniques and methods that are important to know in order to pass USACO Bronze. We will solve many problems to help you develop intuition for solving USACO-like problems. This class will be taught in Java, and it is recommended to have an IDE such as IntelliJ or Eclipse installed. Note that this class will focus on teaching problem-solving concepts for USACO, not teaching a programming language.

In this class, we will be going over problem solving techniques for four common types of problems that show up on the AMC10, in each of the main four fields of competitive mathematics: Geometry, Combinatorics, Algebra, and Number Theory. We will review instructive problems from various sources during the class, and allow the students to practice what they have learned in the provided problem set.

In this course, we will explore various topics in intermediate mathematics with the aim of equipping students with the theoretical foundation they need to turn a borderline or sub-qualifying AMC 10 score into an Honor Roll or Distinguished Honor Roll score. To do so, we will look at some concepts and questions that have appeared on the more challenging side of AMC contests in an interactive and instructive manner.

Machine learning is a rapidly growing field with limitless applications. This course is an introduction to the subject, covering basic theory as well as the necessary mathematical tools needed to understand both elementary and higher level ML concepts. In addition, we will be using code to solidify concepts and their applications. The only required tool for this class is a laptop with an internet connection.

In this AP physics class, we will teach you about concepts that will help you advance in AP Physics 1 while also providing a boost to your performance in competitive physics courses. We will start off classes by going over concepts at an AP Physics level, but then we will solve some problems that will help you gain more intuition in competitive physics. It is recommended that you bring a calculator, a notebook (to take notes and solve problems), and a pencil in order for you to get the best learning experience!

COVID-19 has greatly impacted our lives in ways that we would have never imagined. In this course, we will cover the science of public health with a focus on epidemiology—specifically, how diseases like COVID-19 spread in populations. You will learn all about epidemics, diseases, biostatistics, and apply this knowledge to the COVID-19 pandemic. This course will not only teach theory, but there will be interactive workshops where you can step into the shoes of a public health professional! You’ll also learn about how to stay safe during COVID-19, how to crush the Science Olympiad Disease Detectives event, and start your own COVID-19 public health initiative.

Throughout this program, you will learn and experience the mechanisms you can use as a young person to spread public health literacy, including learning the basics of public health through an interactive project. Additionally, you will conduct outreach to local officials to make a positive change in your community. As an ambassador, you will participate in an intensive 4-week program where you will dive deep into the inner workings of educational and health policy and become a grassroots activist for a noble cause.

This is not a course for memorizing countries and capitals, but rather a look at the physical traits of Earth and an analysis of how they affect the human world. Each week we will examine a region of the earth, using the 5 themes of geography to help us analyze it. Prior geography knowledge will be helpful, but not required.

This course will be an introduction to Greek and Roman mythology. Throughout the 4 sessions, we will talk about the main gods and heroes from these cultures. The class will also explore the myths and legends associated with each of them and will also enrich your personal knowledge by unraveling how the ancient Greeks and Romans explained some of our world's most intriguing natural phenomenon.
